I wanted to offer a prayer to all those that are being effected and will be effected by Hurricane Gustav. I hope everyone that has been advised to leave has done so. My family and I have left and are currently in Mississippi. Wherever you are please stay safe.
Dear Lord,
Please be with the families that are having to leave their homes before this storm arives. I pray that you keep them and their families safe from harm. While I don't wish this storm to head to anyone, please spare our communities from the devastation this storm can bring. I pray to calm the fears of the young children who do not fully understand what is going on. Please lay your hands on the community leaders, police, fire department, doctors, nurses, first responders, and business owners that are required to stay behind. Work through their hands, hearts, and minds. Keep them safe from harm. I pray that you calm the waters of the gulf and limit the damage this storm can cause. In Jesus name, Amen.
