It's Crunch Time

No, not Nestle's Crunch... haha! But, if you are like me you need to make Halloween treats for lots of kids. My daughter's class at school and dancing and my boy's preschool classmates need (notice I said need) to have treats! Luckily my friend, Monique shared this wonderful easy to duplicate and mass produce Halloween treat!

I whipped out 20 of these in 1 hour! It is sort of a matchbook treat holder. I had a whole pack of Only Orange 12 x 12 cardstock - you can fit 5 on one sheet. Each holder is 3" x 8 1/2" scored at 3 1/2" and 7 1/2".  Fold on the score lines, insert your treat and staple to the bottom flap - the fun pack size of M&M's work perfectly! Embellish as desired.

For mine, I used the Halloween definition image from the Eat, Drink, & Be Scary stamp set. I stamped in in Jet Black StazOn. Then, I stamped the scroll-like image from the From the Crypt stamp set in Only Orange Craft ink and dusted it before it dried with Iridescent Ice embossing powder, then heat set. Finish off with a nice knotted piece of 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. You get a finished project that is easy and elegant.

Spooky 12 x 12 Scrapbook Layout

I love to make Halloween scrapbook pages! Check out this layout I did for Trish's workshop. I can't wait to add photos of my boys in their costumes this Saturday!

A close-up reveals the skull image from the stamp set, From the Crypt. I stamped it in Basic Black Craft ink and then used Iridescent Ice embossing powder. It is a little tough to see in the photo, but it's sparkly!

I did the same technique with the spider image - I have 3 of them "crawling" on the page! I cut the letters using the Big Shot and Stampin' Up!'s exclusive die called Alphabet Simple Letters.

A few more ideas for Halloween treats and these are super easy! For the sucker project, you need the Sweet Centers stamp set, the 1 3/4" circle punch, and Pop Up glue dots. A very talented demonstrator, whose name escapes me, shared these pumpkin boxes on her blog. We made them for club last month and also for Trish's workshop. The pumpkin was made with the Wide Oval punch. Punch 5 ovals from the Pumpkin Pie card stock and sponge the edges of each with Pumpkin Pie Classic ink. You start in the middle and alternate each oval behind the first to create your pumpkin. Punch the stem using Soft Suede card stock and the Modern Label punch and cut in half. Embellish with a leaf and sentiment. Attach to any size card stock box.

Quick and Easy Halloween treats!

I love the Cast A Spell Designer Series paper! These two projects were quick and easy and best of all, very economical!!! On the left, I covered a big chocolate bar with the striped paper from the Cast A Spell designer series paper, tied some Basic Black 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in a pretty knot, and added a stamped image to the top. The stamp comes from the Eat, Drink, & Be Scary stamp set and punched out with the tag punch.

Don't throw away the glass containers from your favorite Starbuck's coffee drinks - RECYCLE!!! I washed the bottle and pealed the labels. Then, I covered the bottom portion with the Perfect Plum paper from Cast A Spell designer series paper pack. I also used the Spooky Treats rub on's for a special touch. The top was covered with some grosgrain ribbon (on the sides) and a punched spider image from the stamp set, From the Crypt. Add a little ribbon and your favorite Halloween candy for a perfect teacher gift!

Pumpkin Punch and Sweet Treat Cups

I can't remember where I saw this cute pumpkin punch art, but I do know I CASE'd it almost exactly. So, if you're the demonstrator who originated it, THANKS for the inspiration! It is so stinkin' cute and easy! All you do is punch 3 large ovals in the Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Using Pumpkin Pie Classic ink, sponge the edges of each oval to create nice shading and a more realistic pumpkin. The stem is the Modern Label punch and I added a bit of hemp twine.

 The other card was given to me by the top seller on my team from last month, Robin B.! She is so creative and LOVES Stampin' Up! like I do!!! Robin used the Sweet Treat cups and the Sweet Centers stamp set to make this card/treat! She even made it easy for the recipient to remove the treat without ruining the card. She made the treat cup a "pop out" from the base card using a piece of card stock larger than the treat cup, but smaller than the base card. The "heaviness" of the treat cup will keep it in its place.

Trick or Treat

Hope the projects posted this week inspire you for this spooky season! I love all the new Halloween sets and accessories from Stampin' Up!
