Valentine Card Ideas

I took a ton of photos at Leadership and I wanted to share these before it was too late. These are photos from the display boards and swaps that I or my roommates had. The first sample was my creation and my swap for Leadership. I think it came out really cute!

I used the new Something Sweet stamp set in the Clear Mount option. It was really easy to mount the top and bottom of the gumball machine on the same block and stamp once instead of stamp 2 separate times... one of the benefits of the clear mount!!! I can't wait to spell out words with our alphabet sets and mount on one block for easy, peasy stampin'!!! The other new products in this card are the Sending Love Specialty designer series paper and the Well Scripted stamp set. What makes the Sending Love paper so special??? Do you see the sparkle? That's glitter, on the paper!!! It's all ready to shine without any extra effort!

Here is another sample from a swap using the Sending Love specialty dsp and the Love Bandit stamp set. I love that little raccoon!

Here is a swing card using the Scallop square die for the Big Shot. The front swings to either side with a brad to secure it.

I love this one! The Build A Bear dies are totally cute poppin' out of the Top Note die pocket! Again, this card features the Sending Love specialty dsp and the new Real Red corduroy buttons. Plus, the background features the exclusive Perfect Polka Dots textured impressions folder!

Build A Bear Party

Since my daughter has a birthday 3 days after Christmas, I thought it would be fun for her to be the hostess of her own stampin' party. She invited some friends and their moms for a Build A Bear Stampin' Workshop. We used many of the Build A Bear products offered by Stampin' Up! Here's the invitation:

The girls created 3 projects, a card, a treat box, and magnetic paper bears!

Melon Mambo is the perfect color for little girls! They loved it and the glitter on this card. The images are from the Beary Best Wishes and Beary Best Friends stamp sets! Watercoloring was a first for some of them, but it is so easy with Classic ink pads and an Aqua Painter (a no mess watercoloring tool)! The mess came with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter, but I have Swiffer dusters so no problem cleaning up!

Since the party was before Halloween, I wanted the girls to have a little treat box to hold all of their creations. Using the Build A Bear dies for the Sizzix Big Shot we created the cutest Build A Bear Witch!

The last project to the longest, just because it was so difficult to decide what each bear would wear! Using the Pawsitively Prints designer series paper and the Beary Essentials Bigz die we were able to create an endless wadrobe for our magnetic paper bears! To complete the project, I found a cheap white magnetic dry erase board to create the background scenery for our bears. Magnetic sheets to back the bears can be found at most craft supply stores. Make sure to run your magnetic sheet face down  on the Bear Bigz die so that it will fit correctly on the correct side of your paper bear.

My daughter had a great time with her friends. I'm sure we'll do it again. There is a Christmas die, Beary Merry - I can't wait to dress them as Mr. & Mrs. Clause!
