If you live in South Louisiana or the southeast region of the US, you are aware of the amazing season the New Orleans Saints have had! Now, I know they have lost the last couple of games, but we are still so excited for our NFL team! I've been a Saints fan my entire life, but now more than ever you see a lot of BLACK & GOLD. Some of my Christmas gifts this year were decorated in black and gold in honor of our team and I thought I would share.
I created this gift bag for a Saints theme teacher luncheon at my daughter's school before the holidays. All the teachers dressed in their best Saints attire and this was one of the door prizes. I used the Big Shot and the Tulipe die, a Stampin' Up! exclusive. It s reminiscent of a Fleur de Lis, the Saints emblem. The teachers loved it!
I used the same colors to wrap the gift for an exchange I did with my team. The black and gold are really elegant together and make a beautiful presentation.
The tag is my favorite! I stamped the flourish image from the Friends 24-7 stamp set in the Champagne Mist shimmer paint. We have been notified by Stampin' Up! that the shimmer paint line will be added as a catalog write-in and will be available after the Holiday Mini sales period! WOOHOO! I stamped the sentiment image in the gold Encore ink. Finish it off with some gold cord and you have a beautiful gift! Remember the gold and silver cord, as well as many other items in the Holiday Mini are only available until January 4, 2010.
Check the blog tomorrow to see what the gift was in this last package!
